Clean My Mac 1.9.3 MAC OsX
CleanMyMac is a suite of utilities for cleaning and optimization for your Mac. With a few clicks, you can delete unwanted items, make disk space and speed up loading and processing data. Select the components to be analyzed and the application will list all items, which you simply check to remove them.
It allows to clean:
- The cache files: they are normally used to start an application faster, but when they accumulate too long, they only complicate the system.
- Newspapers: what are the files that record the famous logs, ie all application activities. It may be useful to keep (for Geeks), but after a while, they can be deleted because they use up disk space for nothing.
- Translations: Most applications contain more than a dozen languages. Unless specific activities, you do not use the principle that a single language (see both).
Thus, in CleanMyMac, go to Preferences and select the languages you want to keep (French and English, we say). The software will delete all other language files in your applications, how many GB win and make your applications faster!
- The Universal Binaries: for many applications, you download what are called "Universal Binaries". Ie, that applications are compatible for both PowerPC and Intel (both types of processors), then you only have one of these processors (Intel for the latest MacBook, for example).
CleanMyMac therefore take care to remove the version that is not necessary for your Mac to make your application lighter and faster!
- Extensions: they call extensions, files that remain after deleting an application or a plugin.
This should not be useful if you used to date software uninstaller, type CleanApp, which erases "proper" applications. Except, if you want to check it do a good job!
- Applications: This function is supposed to replace CleanMyMac completely uninstall software, however I prefer to keep my CleanApp excelling.
