Jessica Simpson Reveals How Eric Johnson Proposed

Jessica Simpson is sharing details of how her fiance Eric Johnson popped the big question!“I absolutely had no idea. He had talked to my mom and dad and my sister [Ashlee] three weeks before he asked me. He had the ring in his shoe at my house somewhere,” she says on The Morning Mash Up radio show, in an interview airing Thursday, December 2.
“I was like, why hide it in a shoe, but it worked. He got down on his knee and I had to sit down on it because I was so shocked,” she says.
Jess, 30, adds that it happened while she was watching Parenthood. “I was short of breath. It was definitely one of those moments where I’ve never felt that way before, ever … We met in my house it was amazing that he proposed to me in my house.”
“I can’t believe all the Simpsons kept a secret,” says Jess.

Fox Apologises to Simpson for TV Skit

Bosses at a U.S. TV network have apologised to Jessica Simpson after broadcasting a cartoon mocking the star's weight.The Dukes of Hazzard actress was ridiculed by animated versions of the Dallas Cowboys - her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo's football team - during Fox's Nfl Sunday (11Oct09) skit.
A statement released by a Fox representative reads, Upon reflection, our poor attempt at humour was insensitive and we deeply apologise to anyone who might have been offended
In the clip, running back Marion Barber says, "Man, I still can't believe Tony dated Jessica Simpson, even after she blew up bigger than (teammate) Flozell Adams!", to which player Jason Witten responds "Unlike Tony,at least Jessica comes up big when it counts!"
Their coach Wade Phillips then quips, "Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!"
TV heads have now apologised to Simpson, who was subjected to media criticism for her rounder figure earlier this year (09).

Jessica Simpson Wants New Dog

Jessica Simpson believes her dead dog would want her to have another pooch.The singer-and-actress - who was left devastated when her Maltipoo Daisy was taken by a coyote last month - is struggling to come to terms with the loss of her pet, but draws comfort in knowing Daisy would want her to move on.
She said: "I haven't really thought about another dog yet, but maybe sometime. Daisy would want that."
Jessica, 29, still finds it hard to discuss Daisy, who was a gift from her ex-husband Nick Lachey.
She admitted: "Daisy meant the world to me. I hold her memory very, very close. It was an unfortunate thing what happened. That I don't have her every day... It's a very hard thing to talk about."
People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel... please respect her memory (sic).
Daisy was snatched as Jessica looked on.
She immediately began a campaign to get the dog back, posting messages on her Twitter account and placing posters around her neighbourhood calling for information.
Earlier this week, Jessica - who joked Daisy was a lesbian after she struck up a close friendship with another female dog - revealed people had been falsely claiming Daisy was alive.
She wrote on her Twitter webpage: "People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue. People are so cruel... please respect her memory (sic)."

Jessica Simpson paid a witch to put a curse on her ex-boyfriend.The unlucky-in-love starlet - who was dumped by American football star Tony Romo the night before her 29th birthday last month - has visited a woman she met on the internet to help her put a spell on Tony and ruin his chances of falling in love again.
She found a woman in California
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Jessica is normally a really sweet girl, but she still can’t believe Tony callously dumped her.
"She found a woman in California. The two met at the star’s Beverly Hills home where they lit a candle, burned some incense and performed a couple of incantations."
The scorned singer-and-actress hopes the meeting will also taint the sportsman’s career, and is waiting in readiness for his next match on September 13, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Meanwhile, Jessica has reportedly been cosying up to football star Colt Brennan - a Washington Redskins quarterback and sporting rival of Tony’s.
The hunky sportsman has even sent her one of his team’s shirts to wear.

Jessica Simpson's 'Meddling' Father

Jessica Simpson's father has been blamed for ruining her romance with Tony Romo.American football star Tony - who split from Jessica last week - reportedly became increasingly frustrated with Joe Simpson's involvement in his daughter's life.
FOX News reports: "Joe's meddling ways most likely took its toll on the relationship, which is the reason why they split the first time 14 months ago. Joe promised he'd take a step back when the couple reunited but he was still too involved.
"At one point Joe was even giving Tony football advice which doesn't go down well."
Tony, who dumped Jessica the day before her 29th birthday, is believed to have been unhappy in the relationship for some time.
A source said: "It was a long time coming, he hasn't really been into her and the relationship for awhile, but stayed together because he didn't want to look like a jerk for not having a better reason to break it off.
At one point Joe was even giving Tony football advice which doesn't go down well
"She is trying to save face by saying that it's because of their busy schedules."
In March, it was alleged Joe - who is also Jessica's manager - was jealous of Tony and believed he was having a negative influence on her career.
A source said: "Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jessica wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter's work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony."
The pair began dating in November 2007. Jessica and Tony first met in 2006, when American football fan Joe introduced them.

Secretly Married Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson - who has been dating American football star Tony Romo - was leaving Los Angeles restaurant Chili's when her mother Tina revealed the 27-year-old star has secretly wed.When asked if Jessica was planning to marry Tony, Tina laughed: "Jessica is already married to Tony! What are you talking about?"
Jessica, who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, giggled and added to gossip website TMZ: "Well I guess if my mom said it, it must be true!"
Earlier this year, Tony admitted he was thinking about marrying Jessica - but not yet.
The 27-year-old Dallas Cowboys star said: "I'm sure I'll get married one day. I don't know when though."
Tony's close friend Michael Starr also fuelled wedding rumours by saying: "I think they are going to get married."
Meanwhile, Jessica has reportedly splashed out $3.47 million on a mansion in the Forest Hills' gated community in Nashville, Tennessee.
The property, which is known as The Queen of Northumberland, boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a cinema.
A source said: "Although the gated community includes a private club house with tennis courts and swimming pool for all the other rich residents, The Queen of Northumberland quite naturally has its own pool and tennis court, which means that Jessica need not fraternise and frolic with the other well-booted music industry residents."
Jessica, who is currently working on a country album, wouldn't be the first celebrity to move to Nashville.
Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow also own properties in the area.
