durango we hardly knew ye

So with a great deal of sadness, we have accepted that we won't be able to screen BikePorn3 in Durango.

This will be a devastating blow, as we reserved a Saturday for those crazy mofos who hosted what we heard was the greatest sswc for all time.

But as it turns out we are busting our balls and ovaries to make it to Pornotopia in Albuquerque.

Our program of sexy cycling will be shown to the ravenous porn people of Albuquerque Sunday November 8th at 5:30pm.

We hope to be able to unveil our new line of floggers via the folks at Kink Tank in Denver.

Bring it!

reMembering durango

One of the joys of going on tour to all these fine "fucking bike friendly" places is the great events that we are able to take part in (or even better, become part of!)

Such was the case last year as part of the Westward Ho! tour in Durango, CO.

Here is a 1st hand account of the insanity that was, THE RALLY OF THE DEAD!

We wont be the 1st to call Durango bikers "special", and we surely won't be the last. So instead of showing bike porn 2, we showed the 1st years program. Viewers were coming out of their chairs with cheering or disgust! Never mind that that Sen. John McCain was in town that day to also catch the screening and let people know that he was still alive and had a seriously entertaining running mate.

Like the Dark Lord said, "Impressive. Most impressive." What is wrong with free beer and food and some classy fucking people? Nothing. Except sometimes it is hard to remember all the fun. The word epic gets thrown around a lot but in this case you can't really help but utilize it. For several days in a row the sauce flows, and the wheels roll and we have the times of our lives.

Thanks for the great games of bike polo, all of the stunning awards and prizes. And letting us share our "gifts" with the otherwise unsuspecting Durango audience at the future Discovery Museum... a place for learning.

Here's hoping they are having a blast at the SSWC going on this weekend September weekend in Durango AND that they have enough ogranizational energy to help put together a screening of Bike Porn 3 in early November.

Non verbal encouragement

Here is hoping we get to travel to Durango, Colorado this coming September for the Single Speed World Championships.

Seriously, the fine bikers of Durango have for the past few years, attempted to murder many seemingly sane bike riders using the side of a mountain as a weapon.

We showed The Pornography of the Bicycle in Durango last year during the Rally of the Dead we successfully disturbed some and moved many many others.

What will the future hold (between its legs)?

The best Mt Biking ever?

Yesterday we got to ride Slickrock in Moab, UT. Known for its soft, sticky surface giving excellent traction (provided you are not on a horse with iron shoes)

The screening at Chile Pepper was pretty spectacular. A screen that stood 15 feet tall dominated the fairly spacious room (for a bike shop). Thanks to our hosts and all the happy bike fuckers of Moab most of whom only learned about us a few hours before the show.

Immediately after the screening ended we saw a fleet of emergency vehicles heading south on Hwy 191. A massive fire had begun to engulf the night sky that was visible from miles away. The massive flames and billowing plumes of smoke were terrifying.

Some theories have been spread around about how it started

Either way, it was quite a hot time.

Today we meet up with Dr Doom of PUMA/world class insanity bike ride fame

Dr. Doom (on the left, wearing one of his own handmade Gore-tex biking vests) as pictured lasts year just after winning the Rally of the Dead last year. Phil's World could be the best riding in the world... especially for those of us with ridgid single speeds. Here is hoping it is at least less painful than riding in Moab. Our masochist levels are already peaked.
