Happy Media Day

So nice to start things off right with some upbeat (and accurate even!) writings about Bike Smut.

We hope this article from Zoe Roux will stay online longer than the interview from Romania. We are not sure why that article was removed from the nets but our team is leisurely pursuing the story but we love the artwork and are stoked to see it frequently theived (cause it means others think its pretty fuckin' fly too).

Our favorite part of the interview?
None of the films are available for purchase or on the internet. If you want to see it you have to invite Bike Smut to your city, making the mini-festival a social event usually followed by a party.

According to the website all invitations should include offers of cookies and alcohol, and anyone can submit their own film.

True that! You should expect to see the new trailer for Bike Smut 5: SPEED on this here blog in the next two days!

You have less than one month to create your own fantastic work of bicycle erotica... start today!

Canadian Reviews - 4:PLAY

Well its been a pretty crazy ride so far, there have been epic barn burning-style parties; sedate, yet attentive coffee shop explorations; consensual biker body touching (sort of the opposite of personification of a bike) and we still have the "Canadian Sex Capitol" coming up tomorrow!

But what do the Canadians think? They can be a reluctant bunch, requiring prodding, jabbing, heckling, even "awkward salmoning" just to get a response.

Well here is the time and place to share your opinions. Remember, this is only for Canadians (or people who saw the smut in Canada). So no cheating!

Here's your set up...

"I SAW BIKE SMUT 4: PLAY AND..."

comments muthafucka, do you leave them!?!?

Give us a hand will you?

A new twist on a classic joke. Dear Speaker of the House, we know you are a busy man so our tech team installed "The Clapper" in the Legislature to improve the legislatures efficiency and so that you can make your own strobe light effects during speeches.

We are dubious that it will "clap on" very well, but when they have a pair of jodhpurs we will be the 1st in line.

Happy Rub Up Against Your Saddle Day

Intriguing... just what does pass as an "appropriate corporate april fools joke" these days? On one hand we are amused by this seemingly innocent offering onto the world of bike-sexuality. On the other hand we are offended by the lack of visual display. Could we please see Uranus in action?

If only Perl Izumi knew all the things we do to their products on film!

If you are excited to up the ante, your opportunity to create wonderful explicit works of bikesexuality is here!

Still reactionary!

We have hit our Southeastern most point of the Backlash Tour!

Now it is time to start heading north where we continue our mad rush into radical, sex-positive biker's pants.

We have a lot of great things going for us, but nothing as amazing as word of mouth. We have been getting some pretty outstanding opinions shared with us, the most recent just came in from Orlando:

I wanted to thank you guys for coming through, I honestly couldnt haave imagined the night turning out better. All the films are so beautiful and expose parts (pun intended) of human nature that is usually suppressed or avoided in public discussion. I love being naked and am very body positive and your videos are a reminder and an outlet to all of us body lovin' ladies and gents out there...

You like? Well keep reading this fine commentary by gettitn with the clickitty

If you saw Bike Porn 3 and feel like it was deserving of praise or scorn you should feel free to join the conversation!

San Antonio Returns the Flavor

We have been the recipients of some pretty good media coverage over the years. This year's Bike Porn program has pulled people's ears back more than ever, and coincidentally, this article in the San Antonio Current continues the trend of excellent articles that actually get the point of creating a safe space for adults to be adults.

A silent stop-motion called Cyclust kicked off the film programming, and its rainy-day palette and naturalistic girl-on-girl action modified my expectations for the evening. The even-shorter short that followed, Sperm, a clever black-and-white, culminated with the titular cell penetrating a bicycle gear. It wasn’t so weird to watch porn in public.

The “bound” element of the tour’s title became more pronounced in No No No Yes, wherein a boozing, scantily clad woman unlocked her bikefriend — a gentleman with a seat strapped to his back, handlebars to his neck — and proceeded to caress his parts. Ashley Lindstrom

With all the McDonald's Playplaces and similar hypoallergenic areas in the world these days it seems that "child friendly" is the only concern that measures these days. What is missing from this picture of course is that without safe spaces for adults to consider and discuss adult themes people are forced to repress feelings which often results in unpleasant releasing of pent up emotions in inappropriate places.

Thus the prude who steadfastly refuses to even discuss the idea of porn is basically committing themselves to having a tragically awkward time dealing with such matters in the future.

So watch some fucking porn.

For the children. (SERIOUSLY GOOD INFO ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PORN AND SEX CRIMES)

ReMembering Oregon, a discussion of sexuality

Hey now, two shows into the Backlash Tour and we are already getting some FANfuckingTastic reviews of Bike Porn 3: Cycle Bound.

Grace Pettygrove's article of the bike porn screening and discussion at The University of Oregon totally hits the mark. Her column includes a number of gems like this:

The featured shorts in “Cycle Bound” reflect a diversity of ideas about what sex is, could be and should be. Some of the movies are pure comedy, parodying clichés in the porn industry or playing up any available visual puns offered by the bicycle frame. Several films feature nude Portland bikers doing awesome things on their Franken-bikes: dive-bombing hills, playing games and racing around the city. Conceptually, this still falls under the category of porn: For a Portland bike cultist, tall-bike jousting is as good as sex.

Curious, we have been promised tall bike sex for so long, its almost upsetting. And really the way some people have sex is a lot more like jousting than they would probably like to admit.

But rather than just call it a bit of nice, fluffy university media, Pettygrove goes one step further and begins to inspect and possibly even unravel the nature of sex positivity.

I also came to question the limits of the sex positivity movement. Can such a cerebral distinction actually draw the line between exploitation and empowerment? Though there were obvious elements of role reversal and satire in the raciest moments of Bike Porn — including a short that used a child’s bicycle to parody the concept of “kiddie porn,” and a scene in Tour de Pants that looked a lot like gang rape — I don’t imagine that a victim of sexual exploitation or assault could sit through the whole presentation and feel empowered.

Indeed. Just as one man's treasure is another man's cum bucket, so too there is no way to allow vast freedoms of expression without potentially ruffling a few feathers. That said another viewing might show that the "victim" of the gang rape gave verbal agreement to consent not once, but twice! Yea, we didn't notice it the 1st time either and it definitely is not using a very rigorous standard. (could she be expressing verbal agreement without actually providing informed conscent?)

The evening was punctuated by a surprisingly coherent expression of bikesexuality by almost everyone in attendance. The classroom was able to agree on a few points:

Either way, thanks for asking good questions. If there is a limit on the value of sex-positive culture we hope we never find it!

The show last night in Ashland was fantastic. What an amazing venue! They even had chairs! We were asked which hotel we stole our robes from and also had a request for unicycle porn.

On our way to San Francisco, with a possible polo turny in the works on Saturday!

PreBacklash Cascadian Bikesmut Tour Report

WOW! incredible shows!

thanx Vancouver and Victoria!

man, we love getting sporty and active but the Olympics are totally fucked!

We are stunned that we could be fined $10,000 for not wearing the right clothes! any signs, buttons or displays of anything that not "celebrating" the Olympic games. any sponsors that are not the Official Sponsors.

and specifically bend over for the IOC. The International Committee for Olympic Profit-Motivated DoucheBaggery.

a bit of a media day in downtown Vancouver BC...

but sport is totally alive! It doesn't require a lot of money, or even matching shirts (although they are way cool.)

Sports can be fun without having to exploit resources or evict people. In fact sports are often more enjoyable when you just leave people where they are.

More humptastic news from them ABQs

It would seem we touched a nerve... in a good way. After almost 2 months we found another story about our show in ABQ. A full length article about the Bike Porn 3: Cycle Bound screening in Albuquerque, this time from the University of New Mexico's student paper, the Daily Lobo.Link

Here is a nice section of the article:

UNM senior Sean Alkire, who works at the UNM Outdoor Bike Shop, attended Pornotopia on Sunday and said the show was a healthy way for the Albuquerque community to explore sex.

“I thought it was very uplifting, if you know what I mean,” Alkire said. “I honestly didn’t know what to expect either. I didn’t know if we were going to be watching cartoons, bike on bike, I had no idea. Some of the hardcore stuff was a surprise, but a pleasant one.”

Wow, has that paper really been around since 1895? Bajesus, that is a long time. Thanks for the good press Mr Hunter, we hope you will explore the cyclical nature of getting it on to get off bikes again soon.Link

Living the Festival High LIfe

Home again in PDX and we are still getting love letters from all over, this one posted conveniently online is a pretty great review of Pornotopia, The Southwest's only sex positive film festival where Bike Porn 3 made a big splash.

Andi Mari writes exciting tales about her adventures as a sexually aware, minivan driving mom going to a erotic porn festival 1000s of miles from home at this link HERE!

Thanks for the excellent review of an excellent weekend. If most porn was as uplifting there we would probably have fewer sexual issues in society.

What say you... UNREASONABLE GOAL?!?

Regardless of your thoughts on sex positivity (sp?) You need to get ready for the future of Bike Porn! Over the next week we will be unveiling the proposed tour schedule for February-June! Over 10 thousand miles long and our most daring tour yet! We dont even know what to call it! We still need to buy a car (or perhaps a mini van?!?) to encourage better cycling. We're not sure if it is ironic but it sure feels that way.

Seattle Gay Bike Porn News

Thats right we bike porn folk have been dubbed good enough for government work by the gayest news in Seattle.

Then, the earth shook. Tour de Pants is the short film that quieted the room. It took the viewers a few seconds to understand what they were seeing. You see, our good Reverend Phil had a little surprise in store for the anarchic cadre of two-wheeled enthusiasts:
Scott Rice - of SGN

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE! Learn more about the history of bike porn than you thought necessary with this secret info about the curator of the Bike Porn series...
